i ❤ faces: purple!

Clearly this blog now functions as my "iheartfaces" entry headquarters. But at least i'm back to posting once a week!

Yesterday we visited the local natural history museum, Fernbank. It's pretty dark in the exhibits but I saw Cutie Face playing with this hands-on exhibit and thought it'd be a fun entry for this week's purple theme. I tweaked it just a bit--it really was this purple!

i{heart}faces: OVER my head

Yup. it's been more than a month. So much for my resolution to upload one picture a day (seriously? how hard is that?)

Regardless of this blog's activity, i thought forcing myself to participate in this week's iheartfaces contest would encourage me to get back into the swing of things. We shall see.

Anyway, this week's theme was a "gimme" because i have soooo many thousands of pictures of things on my kids' heads--hats, bows, water, sprinklers, their dad (!), balloons, bubbles, you name it, i have a picture of it. Regardless, i was thinking about having my oldest take a bucket of water and dump it over her head while i snapped away. But she had an ear infection so...that was out. Bummer.

So i polled my facebook friends and this is the one they chose.

i ❤ faces: yellow

So I thought that last week's assignment was tricky because of all the flower headband photos i've taken (literally, thousands upon thousands). 

But YELLOW? 

Well, we might not always have a flower in our hair but you can bet your bottom dollar we'll have that yellow blanket right next to us AT ALL TIMES, and, therefore for nearly all pictures.

So you'd think i'd choose a yellow-blanket-photo. 

WRONG.

I chose one taken today of Cutie Cakes.

Yellow makes me happy.

I'm SO happy we have so much yellow in our house.

I'm SO happy we have girls that like yellow.

I'm SO happy that yellow was this week's theme!

you'd think since i dress at least one girl up in a flower headband/day that i'd have thousands of photos to choose from.

Actually, therein lies the problem. I have SOOOO many flower headband photos to choose from that i couldn't handle it and only looked at photos from this month. Oh yeah--Much easier. Then I only had 572 photos to choose from (no lie).

So then i just looked at yesterday's photos. And here you have it. It's tough being a flower day-in and day-out...

Now i know you have pictures of people + flowers...
